The Home Energy Saving Kit is a toolkit that helps you save energy at home. It was developed by Dublin’s energy company Codema and is now available to borrow from libraries in Clare.
The kit contains five tools you can use to measure how your home uses energy and where energy might be escaping. The items in the toolkit address three key areas of energy use – heating, hot water and electricity consumption. The kit can help identify common problems such as poor insulation or ventilation and high electricity consumption.
The kit is also accompanied by a step-by-step user manual and demonstration video which easily explain how to use each tool correctly.
To borrow a kit contact your nearest library. Some libraries have waiting lists.
