All of our libraries have Sensory Kits available for use during library opening hours.
The Sensory Kit consists of a selection of toys and tools to aid with sensory processing and developmental growth. They can be used by children who have sensory or other developmental needs while in the library. The kits are also useful if you want to familiarise yourself with the type of sensory toys and resources available to borrow from our Sensory Toy Collection. The items in the kit cannot be borrowed or brought home.
The Kits consist of a variety of toys and tools to aid with fine and gross motor skills, regulation and sensory processiong. Items include games and puzzles, mini bean bags, light up toys, squishy fidget toys, ear protectors, egg timers and dark dens. Items may differ depending on the library.
If you would like to use the Sensory Kit while in the library just ask at the library desk.
