4. Online resources

Library patrons can access online resources such as eBooks, eAudiobooks, online magazines, online newspapers, online training and learning resources.

Clare Libraries allows third parties to check certain information items against the library management system system in order to confirm their validity.

5. Registration for library mailing list

Purpose

To send newsletters and notifications of events (artistic, linguistic, educational, community or similar interests) to those interested, the library service uses an online mailing list facility called MailerLite.

Purpose

CCTV system to for health and safety and premises and asset protection

Purpose

To provide CCTV in order to protect the assets and properties of the library service and promote the interests of health and safety of staff and visitors.

Article 6(1) (c) GDPR. The processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which Clare County Council is subject; e.g. Health, Safety & Welfare at Work Acts.

Article 6(1) (e) GDPR The processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of an official authority vested in Clare County Council; e.g. Health, Safety & Welfare at Work Acts and the Occupier’s Liability Act 2005
