The Education and Outreach Officer from Clare Museum will be visiting our Craft Club with samples from the Clare Embroidery Collection. These items are a unique record of an industry which promoted the skill of hand embroidery to the highest standards. All are welcome to hear about Mrs. Florence Vere O’Brien who started the first Clare Embroidery class at Newhall, Ennis in 1895.
