Abbey Hill, Tulla - Prendergast

Thomas Prendergast (and siblings) was born at Abbey Hill, Tulla, Co Clare in 1838. Abbey Hill is not listed as a townland for Tulla. Has anyone advice on where this place/area is?

It is definitely understood to be around Tulla (and not the Abbey Hill in north west Clare).

Hello Maurice,

On the Ordnance Survey map of 1840, Abbeyhill Fort is in the townland of Lisduff, parish of Tulla, not far from the townland boundary with Knockadoon.

This is about a mile or so south, south-east from Tulla town.

I have been looking at Prendergasts that married into the Stacpoole Lysaghts but they are from Tipperary.
