Clare Past Forum

I've just realised that the so-called British Newspaper Archive now has 793 digitised issues of the weekly Clare Champion newspaper (Earliest issue: April 4, 1903; Latest issue: December 28, 1918) and that the Irish Newspaper Archives claim in different places to have the Clare Champion either for 1950-2020 or for 1950-Current. I don't know when either site will add the missing 31 or so years. I hope that your local library has subscriptions to both sites!

Irish Newspaper Archives can be accessed in all library branches in Clare and the staff of the Local Studies Centre have access to the British Newspaper Archives.
