Hi all- I am looking for information on John Knox, proprietor of the Clare journal, and also any info on James Knox Walker, proprietor of the Ennis Gazette, who had to be a relative of John Knox.

I have done a lot of research on John B Knox, Editor and Proprietor of the Clare Journal, which can be found in my book "Ennis at Work in the 19th Century", available from the Clare Roots Society http://clareroots.org/, also available in the Local Studies Centre in Ennis. Come back to me if you have specific questions.
James Knox Walker was editor and proprietor of the Clare Freeman and Ennis Gazette. He was not related to John B Knox. The paper was owned by his widow after his death in 1870.
