At work on the docks, late 1800s, NYC

Fully digitized with a search engine: a series of reports from the New York City Department of Docks, for various years 1879 to 1908, with this being the link to the 1889 edition:

Provided are full names, job titles, and compensation for everyone in that department, although no residence addresses are given.
The position of "dock builder" would have been the entry level job easily filled with new immigrants, such as Keane and McNamara which appear in this 1889 volume.

Note that Brooklyn was not officially part of NYC until 1898. I didn't read enough of this report to learn if the extensive docks of that borough are included for reporting purposes.
