I sent an email to eastclareheritage@gmail.com about two weeks ago with some questions regarding research help. I have not received any response. Is it possible they are closed or no longer available for paid research?

Beth, on their website http://eastclareheritage.com, in their Geneaology section (http://eastclareheritage.com/genealogy/), they say "If you would like East Clare Heritage to research your Family History, simply click HERE (http://homepage.eircom.net/~eastclareheritage/form.htm) to view the application form, fill in the details, print and post it with the fee (one hundred and five euro) to :
East Clare Heritage Center,
Tuamgraney,
County Clare,
Ireland.

Beth,

The East Clare Heritage Centre has been an ongoing resource for well over a decade, and I am sure it continues in operation. I was not aware that the website now provides for online submission of a research project, but that surely speeds up the process. As in the past, this facility depends on the time and energy of one person (Ger Madden) who is an excellent person for East Clare family history. Ger has other responsibilities, including upkeep of the lovely old building housing the Centre and a continuing stream of publications (which undoubtedly involve deadlines to meet). So, two weeks could well go by and he has not had sufficient time to handle your query to his standards, and yours could be one of many he has received recently.

However, we here on the Forum may be able to provide assistance that could tide you over until you receive his response. If your query concerns information you wish to remain private, feel free to use the private message facility on this Forum site to send me those details and I'll respond confidentially. I am an East Clare descendant, although my own past research has not dealt extensively with the northern side of the county.
