MacMahon, Edward Thomas — Sergeant. Born 26th February, 1888, at Kildysart, County Clare, Ireland. Father,
P. J. MacMahon, Farmer. Educated at St. Thomas's College, Newbridge, County Kildare, Ireland, and King's College,
London. Entered the service of the Bank, 15th October, 1907. Enlisted, December, 1915, from Watrous branch, in
101st Canadian Battalion, with the rank of Private. Transferred to 2nd Canadian Mounted Rifles, August, 1916.
Promoted Corporal, August, 1918; Sergeant, September, 191 December, 1877, at Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Father,
Samuel Butler Marriott. Educated at Winchester PubHc School, Toronto. Entered the service of the Bank, 10th October,
1898. Enlisted, 17th August, 1914, from Strathcona branch, where he was Manager, in 9th Canadian Battalion, with
the rank of Major. Transferred to 10th Canadian Battalion, and subsequently to 3rd Canadian Battalion. Promoted
Lieutenant-Colonel; Colonel, 9th July, 1918. Service: In France with 3rd Canadian Battahon; organized the
Canadian Discharge Depot at Prior Park, Bath, England; Discharge Officer at Quebec, Canada. Gun shot wound in the
right thigh, 26th September, 1916.

Cleary, Thomas — Senior Writer, Mercantile Marine Reserve. Born 30th August, 1898, at Cooga, Kildysart, County Clare, Ireland.
Father, John Cleary, Farmer. Educated at St. Mary's College, Dundalk. Entered the service of the Bank, 12th August, 1915.
Enlisted, 10th February, 1917, from London, England, branch, in H.M.S. "Eaglet," at Liverpool, with the rank of Assistant Writer.
Transferred to H.M.S. "Knight Templar," 3rd May, 1917; H.M.S. "Camito," 10th September, 1918; Senior Naval Officers' Staff,
Liverpool, on demobilization duties, November, 1918, to July, 1919. Promoted Senior Writer, 28th June, 1918. Demobilized,
23rd September, 1919. Returned to duty with the Bank, 20th October, 1919.
