The following is recorded in the Valuation (1855) for Chapel Street. In total there where 23 seperate lots.

Hi Maureen,

There are only two O'Deas households in the parish of Killaloe according to Griffiths Valuation.

1855 - John O'Dea Shantraud: Killaloe Town: Chapel St Killaloe Scarriff
1855 - Elizabeth Dea Craglea Killaloe Scarriff

In the same survey we have a few Hogan households.

Hi Alice,

I may be of interest to have a look at the Tithe Applotment Book for the Parish of Clonrush. This civil parish contains the townland and town of Whitegate, Barony of Leitrim, Co. Galway, in 1830.

Clonrush (Mountshannon) is now part of Co. Clare. Parish records start at 1846 for births ...

Matthew O'Brien, Knockbrack

Hi Doug and Paddy,

I have been working with Doug on this. Family tradition has it that Matthew came from Knockbrack. At the time Matthew resided at Knockbrack the whole of the townland was the property of John O'Callaghan i.e the O'Callaghan-Westropp Estate.

Paddy is right to suggest looking at a different spelling for Green. The RC parish of Kilkee is the old civil parish of Kilfearagh, so keep this in mind when doing your research.
